Mikaela Akuna, Administrative Assistant

Mikaela Akuna is a journalism-major with a focus on print-editorial and a minor in theatre. The Oxnard, Ca. native has studied at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and hopes to go on to grad school at UCLA. Academically, Mikaela graduated thirteenth in her class at Oxnard High School and has been on the dean's list at Cal Poly, as well as an honor student. She has served at a staff writer for the Mustang Daily and is the former Editor in Chief of Voice Box Magazine.

Mikaela also coaches youth volleyball in the community. She is active with the non-profit organization Invisible Children and one day hopes to intern for the company's documentary team. Ultimately, Mikaela wants to work as a travel writer for National Geographic.

She joined our team this year and is currently the Administrative Assistant here at Pacific Neuroscience Medical Group.
