For immediate release: If you or someone in your family has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or has memory problems that may be a sign of Alzheimer’s disease, you may be eligible for one of two Alzheimer’s disease clinical research trials currently underway here at Pacific Neuroscience Medical Group. 4th Annual Parkinson’s Symposium to be held in Ventura County POSTED: April 2008 (PNMG). For immediate release: In recognition of Parkinson’s Awareness Month, Pacific Neuroscience Medical Group will hold their fourth annual Parkinson's Disease Awareness conference on Saturday afternoon, April 26, 2008, at the Courtyard by Marriott, Oxnard/Ventura on East Esplanade Drive in Oxnard, California. Entitled Parkinson’s 2008: An Update, the event offers an outstanding opportunity to learn more about research and treatment for Parkinson’s disease in Ventura County. Speakers will cover medications, genetic breakthroughs, clinical research, and other topics of interest to the Parkinson’s community. POSTED: December 2007 (PNMG). Pacific Neuroscience Medical Group is planning a major expansion in their Alzheimer’s research program for 2008. Besides continuing to offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic programs for patients with all stages of Alzheimer’s, they will offer additional clinical research opportunities for patients and families in Ventura County. They are now reviewing several clinical trial proposals and hope to begin enrolling patients in these new studies early next year. Says Dr. James Sutton, Medical Director, “We are grateful that we can conduct this important clinical research right here in Ventura County, so that patients unable to travel to distant medical centers can help in the effort to find a cure.” Dr. Sutton, a fellowship trained and board certified neurologist, has been active in Alzheimer’s research since 1996. He is a member of the medical advisory board for the Central Coast chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
