introduction
Just as we are committed to excellent health care for our own private patients, we are committed to the health and quality of life of all individuals affected by neurological illness. We recognize a responsibility to participate in the discovery and testing of investigational medications that we hope will improve the quality of life for those affected by disorders of the brain and spinal cord.

The bulk of our research is in the area of testing new investigational medications. We carry out this important research with the support of grants from pharmaceutical companies such as Glaxo-Smith-Kline, Pfizer, and Boehringer-Ingelheim. We also receive some funding from the National Insititutes of Health.

To ensure the safety and protection of our study volunteers, each of our clinical trials has to be reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board before the study can begin at our site. Each study is closely regulated by the FDA, and conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki, International Conference of Harmonization and Code of Federal Regulations.

All procedures and study drug are offered to participating patients at no cost. If you think you might want to volunteer for one of our clinical trials, please use our confidential online clinical trial information request form, or give us a call at 805-278-4148. Our research staff is always ready to talk with you about any of our various studies.

The information provided here is for patients, caregivers, and potential research volunteers, as well as the general public. If you are with a sponsor or CRO and wish further information on our experience and capabilities, please check out our listing at CenterWatch.
